Recipe for the best pancakes EVER!

Heyy guys! How's your weekend been? Mine's been pretty good cause it was valentine's week! I had a lot of fun with my bestie, you can check out my previous post ♡ Anyways, I'm not here to talk about V-day but about the meal of Gods- PANCAKES!

Who doesn't like a good pile of pancakes? Just imagine that golden colour, mouth-watering smell & delicious taste. Omg I've never thought I could get so poematic about food, well I guess I can.

Pancakes are not my country's traditional meal because I neither live in America nor Canada but since I was a little child I've always wanted to try them. And on one, beautiful & memorable day, I decided to make them. I think it was one of the best decisions I've ever made & since that day I make pancakes every now & then.

This is a great idea for a chill Sunday breakfast or brunch, to be honest soemtimes I even eat them for lunch because they are very filling:) You can top with with everthing you like starting with nutella, fruits & maple syrup, finishing with bacon, eggs & veggies. I'm a sweet tooth so I always pick the first version but trust me, they taste delicious in both ways!

Enough of talking, let's get to the aim of this post which is THE RECIPE! I promise, it's the best recipe for traditional american pancakes you could ever find! So now, all you have to do is make them!

American pancakes recipe:

Ingredients:

 2 cups of plain flour
᛫ 1 teaspoon of baking powder
᛫ 2 tablespoons of sugar
᛫ a pinch of salt
᛫ 2 eggs {free range}
᛫ 1 1/2 cup of milk
᛫ 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Preparation:

1.In a bigger bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt & sugar. I recommend mixing dry & wet ingredients separately, it's makes the dough better.

2. Make a whole in the dry mix & put eggs, milk & vanilla. Mix well, we don't want any clumps but don't mix too hard, if you don't want your pancakes to be flat.

3. Heat the pan. On a flat & DRY (!) pan put a ladle of the pancake mixture. Fry on one side until bubbles appear, then flip the pancakes and fry on the other side for something about 20-30 seconds ( as long as the side gets a little golden, brown-ish tint).

4. Put ready pancakes in a pile & add your favorite toppings! Enjoy your amazing, homemade & tasty breakfast!

Bon appetit!

xx Marta
