School ball! Outfit, makeup & tips ♥

Hello lovelies!

Propably most, if not all of you go to school so you know that in certain school years there are special occasions like prom or things like that. In my country we have two big formals- in the second year & the last- third year. I'm currently in the second year of high school so it means that I have my first formal. Well acutally I already had it last week, it was awesome!

I decided to document my preparations because maybe some of you also have special occasions like this & may need some help. Obviously it doesn't necessarily have to a school ball because my outfit is not that elegant, so you can wear this even for a party {which I later did} and other similar events.

I'm going to show you what I was wearing, how I did my hair & makeup and some popular tips which are pretty useful!

Outfit:

I went for something casual but at the same time a little bit elegant- a black mini dress covered with lace with shoulder stripes from one of my favorite- Miss Selfridge Petite collection. It's a little bit informal but the lace gives it some chic & elegance.

I paired it with some white heels from NEW LOOK and a black leather bag from Pierre Cardin, unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of it. Tip number 1: when buying a bag, look for something small aswell as capacious to carry all the things you need!

Hair:

For my hair, I just simply curled it with my Babyliss hair curler because I didn't have time to do anything more showy. Just remember to use a hairspray if you have naturally really straight hair like me, unless you want't your curls to disappear within an hour! And when you do it, don't chomb your hair after!

 Makeup:

Now it's time for the makeup! For the base I used my favorite concealer, bamboo powder, bronzer & highlighter and I recommend to to the same- use tried-out and known products, don't experiment with new ones incase they don't match your skin!

To paint my eyelids, I used two palettes from REVOLUTION, the Redemption Palette Iconic 3 & Beyond Flawless. I put sparkling white shadows in my inner corners, then light and shiny pink in the middle. On my outer corners I used frist- a burgundy, sparkly shade, changing later into a darker tone and lastly I put a black one with burgundy sparkles.
It's hard to explain it so I hope you'll be able to figure it out from the photo:)

I really wanted to have big eyelashes so I mixed two- the Twist Up The Volume mascara from Bourjois and curling Pump Up mascara from Lovely.

For my lips, I went for something subtle- matte nude lipstick from WIBO, the Million Dollar Lips nr 5 and a WIBO Million Dollar Liner nr 5.

Don't forget to bring must-have products with you! {tissues, lipstick, concealer, little mirror, hair brush, some money and a bandage incase you get some blisters}!

When do you have your school ball? Let me know in the comments,
xx Marta
